Actus Mosaic – Multi-Wall display with TS analysis

Actus proposes three different Mosaic systems, catering to the different requirements of Broadcasters, Public authorities and Media monitoring organizations.

1. Mosaic Lite

A simple browser based Wall, capable of displaying a small number of TV signals, with relatively high latency, and limited number of errors detection and alerts. Its low budget and its ability to mix Analog and Digital inputs, makes it a perfect solution for non critical applications.

2. Mosaic Standard

A top quality real-time wall, capable of displaying dozens of TV signals per monitor screen, near Live low latency, and dozens of errors types detected automatically and displayed in various methods. Includes Audio VU meters, clocks and images. A professional grade multi-viewer wall with integrated TS monitoring used by broadcasters, governments, courts, security, telecom operators.

3. Mosaic Pro

A comprehensive and up-scale version of the standard Mosaic, with unlimited number of TV signals, any choice of layouts, TS deep analysis of of all priorities of alerts, makes it probably the best monitoring wall with analysis available to broadcasters and other critical mission communications organizations.

Main Features:

Unlimited number of display monitors (screens)
Unlimited number of Layouts
Dozens of TV signals per monitor screen
The Real-time mosaic can display multiple services received from multiple Transport Streams.
The configuration tool is intuitive and allows building layouts for multiple walls, which can decode MPEG-2/AVC/HEVC Video, MPEG, AAC and Dolby® Audio, Teletext and DVB-Subtitles.
Mosaic-Lite, Integrated with Actus AlertCenterTM for real-time detection of No Video, Frozen Image, Black Screen, No Audio, Low Audio.
Mosaic-Pro, Integrated with Deep Analyser for visualisation of Alerts such as PID lost, service lost and input lost behavior.
Walls can be completed using clocks and graphics.

Applications

Monitoring of QoE
TV, Radio, IPTV
Both reception and transmission
All type of Feeds
Suitable for Remote monitoring

Principle

Actus MosaicTM can display any of the channels recorded by the Actus recorders. This means that regardless of the input type, Analog, IPTS, ASI, SDI, DVB or other, all channels can be displayed side by side.

The display is driven either by a PC client, similar to any other PC client running the Actus Web browser, or by the Actus recording servers.

The Real-time mosaic can display multiple services received from multiple Transport Streams. The display includes visualisation of Alerts such as freeze, black, silence, PID lost, service lost and input lost behavior.

The configuration tool is intuitive and allows building layouts for multiple walls, which can decode MPEG-2/AVC/HEVC Video, MPEG, AAC and Dolby® Audio, Teletext and DVB-Subtitles.

Walls can be completed using clocks and graphics.

Deep Analyzer

Mosaic Pro comes with the Deep Analyzer tool for Analyzing all aspects of DVB/ATSC/ISDB Transport Streams

This can be done starting with a high level summary overview, and then gradually digging deeper down to bit interpretation.

By quickly identifying different fields of interest, the Deep Analyser helps developers, broadcasters, system integrators and field engineers during maintenance, development and testing of equipment, network and services.

Hardware Requirements

Depending on the case, such as the number of TV signals, the distance from Recorders to the Wall, and the amount of Analysis, Actus will recommend either a dedicated PC to run the Mosaic software, or the Mosaic software can run inside one of Actus servers.

Multiple Walls

Optional. When using a graphics board with multiple outputs (for example Matrox card with 6 outputs 4096 x 2160 each, driving 6 screens) it is possible to obtain the following results:

  • Using all 6 screens side by side to create a Mega-screen of up to 8000 x 6000.
  • Or using the 6 screens in different rooms, for different control groups, each with a separate layout.
  • This is obtained by Mosac-Pro stretching the wall over the 6 screens
  • There is a need to configure Windows to use these 6 outputs
  • In the Mosaic editor you will then see separation lines, for each part of the total view which will be shown on a different display.
  • It is not possible to edit these separate parts independently of each-other. The whole Mosaic is considered as one wall.
